Agreement and Eligibility

By affirmatively agreeing to these terms, you enter an agreement with Amogh Bhat, the operator of Finance Dashboard. You must be 13 years of age or older. Do not create an account if you are under 13. Your eligibility checkbox is your own statement of age; we do not verify identity or age through that checkbox.

If you are a minor, applicable law may limit your ability to enter or be bound by a contract. Nothing in these terms removes those rights or represents that a parent or guardian has agreed on your behalf. You may decline these terms, sign out, and contact us or use Privacy Requests to request your information or account deletion.

What the Service Provides

Finance Dashboard provides tools to organize records you enter, review calculations, and explore hypothetical investing scenarios and competitions. It does not hold your money, open brokerage accounts, execute securities transactions, or connect to your brokerage to verify your records. Entries labeled purchases, sales, cash transfers, or contributions are records or simulations within the app; they do not move actual money.

The service and its Financial Disclosures are for informational and educational use. They are not individualized investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice. No adviser-client or fiduciary relationship is established by these terms. You are responsible for your financial decisions and for checking records and calculations against authoritative sources. A description in these terms does not override any status or duty imposed by law.

Accounts and Security

Provide an email address you control and accurate account information. Protect your password and provider keys, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not share another person's private information, credentials, or brokerage records without authority. We may require reasonable verification before acting on a sensitive account request. Never email passwords, OTP codes, complete account numbers, or API keys to our support address.

Use a nickname for competition display names if you prefer. Competition participants can see display names and aggregate rankings. An invite code is not a promise that every participant is known to you or authorized by a school.

Permitted Use and Your Content

You retain rights in the information you submit. You authorize us and our service providers to store, process, and display that information only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, maintain, and support the service and as described in the Privacy Policy. This permission does not transfer ownership of your financial records or grant a license to sell them.

We grant you a limited, nonexclusive, revocable right to use the service in accordance with these terms. Do not bypass access controls, access other users' accounts, introduce malicious code, overload the service, commit fraud, infringe others' rights, or use the service unlawfully. Do not scrape or redistribute market data without the applicable rights. These restrictions do not prohibit lawful security reporting, protected expression, or rights that cannot legally be restricted.

Market Data and Third Parties

Quotes, historical prices, and related calculations depend on external sources, including Finnhub and Twelve Data. Availability, licensing, accuracy, timeliness, and permitted uses may vary. Your provider subscription may impose additional conditions and charges. Supplying a key does not expand your license or ours. We may limit a data feature when permission or reliable data is unavailable.

Third-party names belong to their owners. Their presence does not imply sponsorship or endorsement. We do not guarantee third-party performance. You must verify prices and execution details with your broker before making a real transaction.

Simulations and Competitions

Paper competitions and backtests use simulated balances and transactions. Simulated money has no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or redeemed from this service. Participation alone does not entitle you to a prize. Any separately organized event or prize requires its own lawful rules from its organizer; these terms do not authorize wagering or paid entry.

Past performance and hypothetical results do not predict future returns. Modeling choices, missing prices, fees, taxes, corporate actions, and execution assumptions can materially change results. Review the Financial Disclosures and the assumptions shown with each tool.

Availability, Changes, and Termination

We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue features, or restrict misuse, subject to applicable law. Where practical, we will give reasonable notice of a material discontinuation and a way to request your information. We may act immediately to address security, legal, or operational issues. We do not promise uninterrupted access or permanent storage.

Material revisions will be dated and presented for a new affirmative agreement where appropriate before continued ordinary use. Changes do not retroactively create your acceptance of a different version. Privacy requests and contact information remain available if you decline. You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time, subject to lawful, explained retention exceptions.

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, uninterrupted availability, or noninfringement. We do not warrant that an analysis is complete or suitable for your circumstances or that using the service will prevent losses. Keep independent copies of important records. These disclaimers do not exclude any warranty, obligation, or remedy that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

Limits of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Amogh Bhat will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or investment opportunities arising from the service. To that same extent, total liability arising from the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot lawfully be limited, violations of law for which liability cannot be excluded, or any other nonwaivable rights or remedies. They do not prevent a complaint to a regulator. Some jurisdictions do not allow some limitations; in those jurisdictions only legally permitted limitations apply. Nothing guarantees that a claim cannot be brought.

Disputes and General Terms

California law governs this agreement, without overriding mandatory protections that apply where you live. You may contact us to seek an informal resolution, but doing so is not a condition of exercising a legal right and does not extend a filing deadline. These terms do not require arbitration or waive class actions, jury trials, or small-claims rights.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent lawful. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms and the referenced Financial Disclosures describe the service agreement; the Privacy Policy explains our information practices. No policy authorizes processing prohibited by law.
